Brief
Create a lightweight running jacket for men and women that prepares the runner for the springtime elements. Utilize a lightweight material that is woven to keep the wind and rain out and make the design as minimally distracting for the athlete as possible. Connect with the run team to create a seamless look that is as if the collection was designed by the same people.
Competitor Research
Looking into competitor brands is essential to knowing what technology and construction already exists and how a new product can challenge the options out in the market. Ventilation, adjustability, seam lines, and materials were all researched to provide insights into what can be improved and what technology should stay the same for the athlete.

Breathability
Ultralight woven material, front and back vents, and mesh underarm panels for added breathability. Windproof and water-repellent material with diamond-shaped fibers to keep water out while maintaining breathability.
Versatility
Jacket is fully packable into the right hand pocket. Reflective taping pieced in at shoulder and arm seams for day to night wearability. Watch window construction at left sleeve for the runner who needs to track pace.
Adjustability
Hood has elastic at eye level to maintain peripheral vision, and added adjustability with back drawcord and cord lock. Elastic sleeve cuffs for zero distraction.
